The Passionist Associates of MA
The Calvary Passionist Associates of Massachusetts are undertaking a Christmas fundraiser to benefit the St. Luke Foundation for Haiti. This foundation was begun by Passionist priest, Fr. Rick Frechette, C.P., and his many Haitian colleagues to support their good work for thousands of poor in clinics, street schools and hospitals. Recent drastic devaluation of the U.S. dollar in Haiti has put a great strain on St. Luke's programs. Your donation in any amount can go a long way in helping the compassion of Christ lift up the poor of Haiti. We are getting very close to our goal. Please help us reach our goal by the end of January 2021!
In the late 80's Ernie, his wife, Natalie, and his family conducted two supplies drives to bring thousands of diapers and sneakers to Haitian kids. Ernie visited Haiti in 1989, 2000, and 2007 to accompany Fr. Rick and the Haitian people in their joys and struggles. He can attest to their great need and their great faith!
The Passionists, Passionist Associates, friends and retreatants of Calvary Retreat Center in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts sponsored a major fundraiser fifteen years ago to help build the chapel on the grounds of St. Damian Hospital for Children near Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Over the years, the programs of St. Luke's outreach have expanded by leaps and bounds throughout Haiti and the Calvary Passionist Associates have continued to lend financial assistance as best they can. This year, inspired by the continuing presence of Passionists in Haiti and their wonderful Haitian colleagues and due to the current financial strain they are bearing, we invite you to join us in supporting our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Please share what you can, any time you can by December 31, 2020.
