Edison PTO - Giving Tuesday

At Edison, lessons are experienced, not just taught. New ideas and skills emerge from the pages of books and are turned into unforgettable experiences.

It is through donations to the Edison PTO from families like yours that allow our students the opportunity to participate in additional programs the CPS budget does not allow for like the History Fair, Mural Painting, and volunteering at Beard Elementary School.  In addition to these supplemental programs, the PTO funds basic needs including salary support ($50,000 in 2019), material costs in Art, Science and the Library and the 300,000+ copies our children require throughout the year.

To thank our teachers and build community, the PTO uses raised funds for teacher appreciation lunches and gifts and community events like Winter Social, Fun Fair and Graduation. 

Each of the items above allow the students at Edison the opportunity to explore, experience and create. All of this is possible, and continues to be possible, through donations from Edison families.

This Tuesday, please consider a $10 donation to the PTO to cover these much needed and enjoyed opportunities. Your gift, big or small, makes a difference.
