Your Library Giving Week gift directly supports the Library Summer Challenge and many other programs and services at your Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL). The Summer Challenge supports a culture of reading and helps students from preschool through high school retain their skills over summer break.  This system-wide program is largely funded through your generous donations. Your gift helps fund prizes, books for challenge 'finishers,' programs and camps throughout the summer.  

Your gift today has an impact all year by supporting early childhood literacy programs like 1000 Books Before Kindergarten and the Raise a Reader program, school-age programs like 500 Books Before Middle School, and curriculum-related online resources for students of all ages!  Your gift also supports services for Jeffco residents including free passes to museums and author events including the upcoming Evening with Jaqueline Woodson and last year's extremely popular Finding Gobi and A Dinosaur Birthday Party with Adam Wallace events. Your giving also helps adults participating in Hard Times Writers Workshops and by providing cold/hot weather supplies and bus passes for those in need of such assistance. 

In 2023, JCPL was there for YOU! Your donation on Library Giving Day will be used to support these and many other critical programs and services at Jefferson County Public Library in 2024 and beyond. Thank you for your support!

Jefferson County Public Library is the third largest library system in Colorado and has served the Jeffco community with services, programs and resources since its founding in 1952. JCPL is a vital community resource that is dedicated to providing programs and services for you and future generations of Jeffco residents.

#LibraryGivingDay is a one-day fundraising event with the goal of encouraging people who depend on and enjoy public libraries to donate to their individual library system. And in turn, that support will go toward the incredible programs, services and materials provided by local libraries all over the country.
