Bring Hope to Vulnerable Communities Impacted by Cancer

A cancer diagnosis puts you at a crossroads. In a split second, your life changes. So many decisions to make; so many difficult questions without answers. What do you do next? Which way do you turn? And how about your loved ones--what path do they follow? Will they be okay?

Crossroads4Hope’s (CR4H) network embraces all people touched by cancer—the diagnosed and their loved ones—empowering individuals through access to resources, as well as programs of support, education, wellbeing, and hope.  We are THE safe space to turn first when affected by cancer to restore one’s whole being and family.

Core to our work is an evidence-based, professionally-led program and environment, in which Members of all ages across all cancers customize a personalized plan to access our approximately 100 programs per month including: Individual and Group Support; Social Connections; Educational Programming; Health & Wellness; and Nutrition Programs. Our programs are offered at no charge, so we are uniquely able to address the needs of low- and moderate-income residents and underserved communities.

Taking On Your Cancer Journey. Together.

We are committed to upholding the dignity of all people through cultural humility and respect for race, ethnicity, gender identification, sexual orientation, and income difference. Since 2004, we have provided services to over 17,300 people and our allied health professionals have delivered 115,221 hours of programming.

The National Cancer Institute (NCI), and many others have identified that people with low incomes and or low health literacy, or who lack health insurance, transportation to medical care, and/or paid medical leave are less likely to have recommended cancer screenings and subsequent standard of care treatment.

Our outreach programs are held in areas identified as having the most need and aim to empower all people though a cancer diagnosis by normalizing discussions about cancer. We have launched outreach initiatives in several South Asian, Black, and Hispanic-Latino communities in New Jersey and intend to expand our reach into other vulnerable communities.  The cancer burden within ethnic and racially-diverse communities remains the highest, so we seek to reduce this burden by extending our services.

Our programs are designed to ensure patients and loved ones in vulnerable communities have access to support that allows them to remain informed and actively involved in decisions about their care across the cancer continuum and that they can achieve the best possible health outcomes.

Help support our community of people with cancer, survivors, loved ones, caregivers, and the bereaved today by making a donation to Crossroads4Hope and help us reach our goal of $40,000.
