Testimonials

"Our family supports the Annual Fund because it not only immediately benefits all of our students and teachers, but it also instills an incredible sense of community and camaraderie within the school."

- Current Graland Parent

"I believe in giving to the annual fund for two reasons. It supports the programs at Graland, and it also supports my growth as an educator. The fact that 100% of faculty and staff give to Graland on a yearly basis shows that others share this same investment."

- Tara Kochevar, physical education teacher

Background Statement

Graland's rich history began in 1927 when concerned parents and teachers came together to create a school different from others of the era. From its earliest days, Graland's approach to teaching was influenced by the philosophy of educator John Dewey, who believed in "progressive education" and an educational system adapted to the needs of children.

As it was then, Graland's focus today is on the whole child and on the development of a well-balanced individual of strong character who excels intellectually, athletically and creatively.
