At DEEP, we are committed to having every child in southeast San Diego reading proficiently by the end of third grade.
Our vision is that children attending public schools in San Diego’s Diamond Community enter kindergarten prepared for success and read proficiently by the end of third grade. One way we achieve this is by engaging children with reading and books at an early age.
This #GivingTuesday, our efforts are going to provide families with books to read every day, but we need YOUR help.
We want to grow our communities' home libraries so that children are set up for success when they enter kindergarten.
#GivingTuesday donations will go directly to put books in the hands of children in San Diego’s Diamond Community.
